CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The Queens Tape Music Festival is a free workshop + concert series taking place on October 18th 2025, at Our House Queens, an arts and events community space located in Astoria, Queens, NY. We are inviting composers to submit stereo and quadraphonic fixed media works up to ten minutes in length. The call is open to any fixed media, and of particular interest are soundscape compositions or works incorporating field recordings. Audiovisual fixed media works are welcome as well. Composers based in Queens, NY are especially encouraged to submit, attendance is not mandatory. There is no submission fee.
Technical requirements:
Stereo or quadraphonic fixed media works. Minimum 16-bit, 44.1 kHz
If there is a video component, minimum 1920 X 1080 raster dimension
Works may be up to ten minutes in duration
Timeline:
Submission Deadline: July 20th, 2025
Notification: August 20th, 2025
Festival Date: October 18th, 2025
